On Monday August 9th, Steven Slater did what most airline crew members feel like doing on a daily basis. If you are a crew member or even a frequent flyer you know the kind of absurd treatment we can get from passengers. So make things simple: We are not condoning what Steven did. HOWEVER one can understand why he did what he did. Steven is being charged with 2nd-and 4th-degree criminal mischief, 1st- and 2nd-degree reckless endangerment and criminal trespass in the 3rd degree. Slater faces up to 7 years in prison if convicted! WE NEED TO TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER! We all know that crew members are underpaid and JetBlue is non union so he will not have very good legal representation on his own.

We have already had dozens of people offer donations to help Mr. Slater. We are in the process of trying to set up an official account through Bank of America but in the meantime we are still taking donations for this fund. If you donate money for Mr. Slater this is what you will get:
1. We are both crew members (pilots) so you will get our full names with our airlines so that you know it's legit.
2. You will also receive a receipt for your donation.
3. Every donation will be added to recent news with the donors name and amount donated. If you work for an airline please state that as well. If you do not want your name placed on here please say so and it will be labeled anonymous.
4. You will get the satisfaction of knowing that you helped fellow crew member Steven Slater.
5. 100% of the money donated will go to Steven Slater. (As a part of my donation I will be mailing back all receipts at my own expense in addition to the $100 I am contributing myself.)
6. Once all the money is collected I am personally going to fly to New York and present the check to Mr. Slater. He will be given the check along with the list of everyone who has donated!
